You will take a boat to arrive to the archaeological site "Ceibal" a Mayan city abandoned over a millennium ago, now covered with lush tropical rain forest. On this site, you can still see the best preserved portraits of the Maya world of rulers carved on stone, so well preserved that one can observe the space between each tooth of the rulers.
90% of the hike is in the shade of the forest. You will take a box lunch to eat when you return to the boat.
Walk: 2 1⁄2 hours with pauses to rest.
